The wise and the winners

I think its a really bad habit of mine to have to begin all my proper posts with oh look, i haven't posted in a while, again, and so i will cut the crap and move our butts along.
School is in full swing again and I'm trying to kick my well-honed one month long trained habit of lying on my bed, laptop on my, well, lap, something crunchy in my mouth and watching videos. Or feeling that life is boring without school. When you feel that the internet is boring you, you know that somewhere, somehow, your brain cells are degenerating.
So I'm trying my hand at a new habit, where I sit at my desk at home, and do my readings. Like WOAHHH. But it's been so far so good though the going is slow and the efficiency is still a few couple of notches less than when in my dear Central Library which i once held dear. But now that it's full of.... you-know-whos, I'd rather not.
Anyway, on my new habit, i will resume it tmr cause I'm currently aching all over from Blast auditions yesterday. My unfitness appalls me. Vibe from Blast est comme si comme ca. Damn I miss Ryan.
Was discussing with Shiru today about the prospect of us going on a summer programme together for exchange. Looking at all the photos of friends now studying overseas, Berkeley, Sheffield, Melbourne, King's, Monash, Cali... the sights, sounds, smells and freedom tempts me. But...
1) It's gonna be SUMMER, i.e. hot like potato.
2) I need my weekly dose of chilli, shillin chicken and caitlin.
There, problem solved.
In a world of scholars, awardees and wannabes alike, climbing upon one another and tearing each other apart to make their way up the academic beanstalk, to open what i suppose would be some dead pirate's chest of A's and dean's list positions, I will lay some buckets at the bottom with my unintellectual crowd, catch what is bound to tonnes of sweat that comes pouring down like rain, and sell it to the Govt to refine into portable water. Heal the world, make it a better place. For you and for me and the entire human race~~
We are not stupid, we are wise in our own ways. Wisdom is but arbitrary. Who told one one was wise but just another man like oneself? I will be the girl with the new good habit this sem. I will knock you all dead by sawing the damn beanstalk down one day when i earned enough from selling my water to buy a chainsaw. Just you watch me.
We took this photo to remember my last day of freedom before Day 1 of Sem 2. So there you have it, GOODBYE FREEDOM.
